At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Identify when it is safe for a pregnant athlete to participate in organized sports, and assess which sports are safe for competitive athletes

Recognize the responsibility as the athletic trainer to the athlete relating to their pregnancy and their privacy (if the athlete discloses to the coach)

Recall pregnancy safe exercises in collaboration with coaches for the athlete

Identify what signs and symptoms to look for as “danger signs” during activities for the pregnant athlete

Recall when to refer athletes for hormonal imbalances and cycle concerns
