Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define post-concussion syndrome/persistent post-concussive symptoms (PCS/PPCS) and the evolution of their definitions

  • Review prior recommendations regarding PCS/PPCS management

  • Discuss evidence for use of sub-symptom threshold aerobic exercise in PCS/PPCS to enhance recovery

  • Review a proposed biochemical theory for how aerobic exercise enhances concussion recovery

  • Provide guidance on how to implement therapeutic exercise in the PPCS/PCS population
